About Us

Photo of Hudson Valley, NY

Spectrum Pension & Compensation, Inc. was founded in 1994 with the purpose of assisting employers in the Hudson Valley with employee benefits including retirement plans, health insurance, and life insurance. With most of these companies and their accountants relying on service providers that were not local and provided customer service through an 800 number with a representative located far from their businesses, there was a need to provide prompt, courteous, local assistance.

Currently, Spectrum Pension and Compensation, Inc. services clients throughout the United States and has individual talent with more than 100 years of collective experience providing consulting and administrative assistance on a personal, one-on-one basis.

We continue to strive to treat our clients in a professional, prompt, and courteous manner and pride ourselves on treating others as we would like to be treated.

Meet Our Team

LUDWIG H. BACH, President

Ludwig H. Bach graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, New York with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Administration, with a minor field of study in Mathematics and Computer Science.

Mr. Bach began his career working as a consultant with an Employee Benefits Firm that primarily practiced in the Taft Hartley market place. In this position, Mr. Bach handled consulting and administrative services for many of the construction trade unions located in the Hudson Valley and a number of corporate and not for profit clients. Mr. Bach then obtained his NY State Life Insurance and Health Insurance License. In 1988, Mr. Bach was hired as the Benefit Funds Coordinator for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Benefits Funds. Mr. Bach’s responsibilities included all aspects of the operation of the Retirement and Health and Welfare programs, which provided benefits to more than 800 active and retired members.

During this time, Mr. Bach noticed that there was a niche market that existed in the corporate market place for retirement plan services in the Hudson Valley. In 1994, Spectrum Pension & Compensation, Inc. was formed to provide services to this market. In order to serve clients and business owners at a higher level, Mr. Bach obtained his NASD Series 7, Stock Brokers License. Although not actively working as a Stock Broker, this credential enables Mr. Bach to work with clients and their Investment Professionals.
